Puppy of the Month - May

It's been a few months since our last entry, but we've been busy building a cohesive canine coalition to help the puppies of the world have the treats they need, not just for a month, but every day. It's been hard work, but thanks to my collie-leagues, I've been able to petition many charitable organizations regarding the plight of puppies around the world.

Speaking of puppies, this month's sponsored dog comes from Burma, now officially known as Union of Myanmar. I had no idea where Burma was until somedog showed me a map:

I still don't know where Burma is because I can't read maps, but I do know that this lucky dog is going to have treats for a whole month!

His name is Kyine, which means "smells sweet". Well, let me tell you, he doesn't smell sweet, but his personality and nipples certainly make up for it. I had the pleasure of meeting this puppy on the streets of Rangoon.

Over a bowl of chicken broth, we discussed the Burmese curry treats Kyine would soon be receiving thanks to all your donations. Kyine barked, "
My favorite food is Any-Meat-Curry. Burmese curries do not use curry powder. They are based on onion, garlic, ginger and chili, and what you do need is large amounts of these as well as the ubiquitous ngapi (or blachan, as it is most popularly called), a dried shrimp paste. Without it, Burmese cooking just isn't authentic."

Puppy of the Month - January

This is Shakshoukeh. He is a Palestinian dog who has been stuck in this position for two weeks after a missile blast that destroyed his home. He especially likes Musakahn, a Middle Eastern cassrole dish, but above all, this poor little puppy needs treats! Please help us in our mission by sending your contribution today. You can sponsor Shakshoukeh or choose another dog from our voluminous files of canines in need.

Puppy of the Month - December

Hi, it's Gio again. I'd lke to thank all the puppy lovers out there who gave their financial support for this month's dog in need - Falafel. He is from Afghanistan and never had a treat in his short life. I'm happy to say that a care package of treats was sent last week to Falafel's owner Mohammed Mazar-e Sharif in time for the Ramada holiday. Mohammed has assured me that he and his family of twelve will not eat the treats, but give them to Falafel, so you can be assured that your tax-deductible donations are bone-a-fide. Woof!

It's Up To You!

Please make sure to take part in our poll. Puppies Without Borders has a limited reserve of money, so please place your vote for the next country we should target for puppy treats by scrolling down and voting on the left hand side of this site. Gio is waiting for your input. Many puppies need to be helped - they need treats. Again, if you have the resources and wish to support us, please email Gio at givetreats@gmail.com.

Puppy of the Month - November

Through several donations from fellow puppy lovers, we were able to support a puppy in Sri Lanka named Mixmatchsox. For just one rupee this dog will have treats for a year! Thank you to all the people who made this happen.
